Ministry:
We are the children's
directors for One by One Nicaragua, a ministry that aims to bring hope to the
people of Nicaragua through the transforming message of Jesus Christ. Our job entails planning the children's
church service on Saturdays and continuing to develop our strategies to reach
children with the gospel of Christ so that they will be his
disciples.

Bio:
We were both born and
raised in Dallas, Texas. Throughout high school, we were able to participate in
several short-term mission trips to Mexico (first as students and later as
leaders) where our heart for missions was born. Upon graduation from high
school, Julie went to school at John Brown University in Siloam Springs,
Arkansas, while Chase attended a YWAM Discipleship Training School and went on a
few short-term trips to China. The Lord used both of our experiences to further
our desire to someday be involved with missions full-time. Both of us
transferred to the University of Oklahoma in the Spring of 2005 to get
undergraduate degrees in Linguistics, which we knew would aid us in any
international ministry field in the future. Julie graduated in May 2006 and
Chase in May 2007. After nearly 5 years of dating, we tied the knot in April
2007. After living and working in Norman, Oklahoma for 2 years post-graduation
and praying for direction, God led us to apply with One by One. We moved to
Managua, Nicaragua November 2009 to finally start our journey!
Interests:
Hanging out with good
friends, watching movies, listening to music, traveling, coffee, and
laughter. A perfect vacation combines all of the above!
Church:
We have two churches that we refer to as our "home churches"
since we have spent so much time in both Dallas and Norman. Just about all
of our learning, our closest friends, and tons of encouragement has come from
each of these great churches.
