Why do we raise
support?:
Like most mission organizations, One by
One doesn't have central funds to pay salaries. We (as well as the ministry) rely on
consistent financial contributions from individuals and churches who believe in
what we are doing.
What does support
cover?:
We raise support to cover all of our expenses: food, housing,
transportation, health insurance, retirement saving, U.S. social security taxes,
etc.
How much of it goes to
us?
All of it! We are only required to raise support
for our own living expenses, and there are volunteers who make sure it all goes
where it's supposed to, so there is no overhead taken from money donated to
us.
Is it
tax-deductible?
Yes! All contributions are tax-deductible. If
you give more than $250, you will receive a tax statement at the end of the
year.
How to do
it:
There are two ways of supporting
us:

Please don't put our names on the check
itself. Our names on the envelope
(or a note inside the envelope) will suffice.
2) Online (our recommendation). This process has changed as of 7/5/2011 and is now as follows:.
a) Click: https://co.clickandpledge.com/sp/d1/default.aspx?wid=44367 (or copy and paste into your address bar).
b) Select a donation amount or enter in a custom one.
c) If you would like to support us regularly, check "Make my payment a recurring payment". We will be in Nicaragua indefinitely (until the Lord leads us elsewhere) and would greatly appreciate your support for as long as you are able! If you set up a recurring payment and later find that you can't complete the term, let us know and we can cancel it for you.
If this donation is intended to be a non-regular gift, leave the box blank.
d) If you would like to receive the One by One newsletter, check "Subscribe to eNewsletter". (This is the newsletter for the ministry, not our personal one. You can sign up for our personal one here.)
e) Fill in your contact info below.
f) Fill in your billing info. There are two options: credit card and eCheck. An eCheck is deducted from your checking account as if you had written a physical check. The benefit is that the administrative fee the ministry is charged for payment processing is smaller.
